Breakdown
Paul Kelly was once considered a top shortstop prospect in the Twins system a few years ago, but a knee injury has cost him all but 9 games in the last two-and-a-half seasons. Kelly was drafted by the Twins in the 2nd round of the 2005 draft, which at the time was considered a steal as he was projected to go by the middle of the first round. He instantly showcased amazing defense and a great bat. Unfortunately, Kelly's chronic knee problems have allowed him to rack up only 36 plate appearances in the past two seasons. It's unsure whether or not Kelly will ever fully recover, but if he ever regains enough health to make it through an entire season, we'll be able to see that he's still a special player on both sides of the ball.

2009 Outlook
If healthy, Kelly could be in Ft. Myers with the Miracle. But that's a big if.
